Muslims have a separate covenant through the first son of Abraham and they also practice circism ?

If Ishmael was Abraham's son, then it is more likely than not that his clan remained in the same general area as his father, perhaps moving as far as modern Lebanon, Jordan, or Syria. Since Islam got its start in what is now Saudi Arabia, and since Ishmael and his descendants fade from view after early Biblical times, it is unlikely that Ishmael's descendants have anything to do with Islam. I've never understood the point of erting this connection, myself.
