Sharpen tool on photoshop?

hmm..the sharpen tool let's you SHARPEN the lines and stuffs on a certain picture..on photoshop, be sure that you are using the sharpen tool on THE CORRECT LAYER.. (im referring to the layer of the whole picture..or better yet, keep pressing ctrl+e until all of the layers are merged into a single layer. and then that's the time u sharpen it..just hold it and keep sharpening...and it will change slowly
