Easy songs to play on guitar for a beginner?

well ive played guitar for 9 years. those are ok songs for beginners. you should be well rounded and play some rock songs too. some easy ones i play are "smells like teen spirit" by nirvana and "american idiot" by green day. when you get better you should get an electric guitar maybe.
