Help! Will i give my husband food poisoning by doing this?!?

Husband asked me to take a bit of chicken out of the freezer for his tea, but i forgot all about it (I was too busy watching & The City on DVD). I've since taken it out the freezer and put it in a bowl with boiling water to quickly thaw it out. It's turned white now. Should i 'fess up and tell him, or not mention it? I don't want him to be ill tomorrow, even though he's been pretty grumpy of late. Thanks x
